In the early 90s, Threlkel cofounded The Brian Jonestown Massacre, a neo-psychedelic rock band out of San Francisco, California. In 2000, he helped co-found Obscura Digital, an advanced HD video R&D and production facility focused on developing high-impact, immersive, and giant-scale display systems and content. At Obscura Threlkel has produced world-class video installations and for global industry leaders, including Oracle, IBM, Symantec, GM, Mitsubishi, Mercedes Benz, Lexus and 3M.
