Claim To Fame: Notorious for reigniting ailing agencies
Before coming to Y&R, Granger spent six years at Saatchi & Saatchi—first as Chief Creative Officer in London, then four as New York ’s creative director. There, he helped the agency restore its focus on creativity. It was transformational. Great work for brands like JC Penney, Tide and Wendy’s delivered great results for clients and attracted a long string of new clients. Saatchi won more Lions than any other agency at Cannes and was named Agency of the Year in 2007 at both Cannes and the Clios. Others also took notice, like the prestigious Gunn Report, which ranked Saatchi the #2 agency worldwide. It was an amazing run. Tony is also credited with having led a similar creative renaissance at Bozell in New York, prior to his Saatchi days. To date, he’s won more than 56 Lions and upwards of 1,000 industry awards.
